The signing ceremony has taken placed at Balai Kartini Jakarta Selatan, Wednesday (14/15) the name of the universities are: Universitas Gajah Mada (UGM) Yogyakarta, Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) Yogyakarta, Universitas Indonesia (UI) Jakarta, Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Jakarta, Universitas Trisakti Jakarta, STIE Tazkia, Universitas Pajajaran (Unpad) Bandung, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Institut Koperasi Indonesia (IKOPIN) Bandung, Universitas Negeri Semarang dan Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) Semarang.
The sigining ceremony was witnessed by the shariah Director of Bank Indonesia Mulya E Siregar, chairman of Ikatan Ahli Ekonomi Islam Indonesia (IAEI) Mustafa Edwin Nasution and Masyarakat Ekonomi Syariah (MES) Dr. Syafii Antonio.
Heriyakto S Hartomo, Project Management Office Head BRISyariah said that it is expected this collaboration will simplify the process f recruiting shariah human capital with high standard of professionalism.
In the meantime Mustofa Edwin Nasution, opined that this business model is very good effort since the bankers and the higher education institutions could synergies in solving the lack of human capital, other Islamic banks could follow the lead of BRISyariah.
“This synergy could be expanded by creating product innovation and by doing research from the existed papers from the shariah expert” exclaimed Mustofa.[gus/nibra]
