JAKARTA: The total disbursement of small-business loans (KUR) of Indonesia\'s state lenders totaled IDR7.66 trillion during January-September 2010, or 58.44% of the minimum target and 42.58% of the maximum target set by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOPEs) this year.
Thus, the total outstanding small business loans of these state banks reached IDR25.89 trillion as per September 2010 with 3,279,764 debtors.
Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Mustafa Abubakar said that until now PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) shared the biggest portion in the credit disbursement by 43.8%, followed by PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, and PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk.
"The realization of this small business loan disbursement reached IDR7.66 trillion until September. In cumulative, the loan disbursement until September 2010 reached IDR25.89 trillion," he said today.
Ministry\' data shows that the realization of small business loan disbursement by BRI during January-September 2010 totaled IDR5.38 trillion, while BTN channelled IDR523.7 billion loans. Bank Mandiri and BNI disbursed IDR400.8 billion and IDR329.6 billion, respectively. Bank Syariah Mandiri and Bank Bukopin realized IDR226.8 billion and IDR86.9 billion loan disbursement, respectively.
In the meantime, the small business loan disbursement of 13 regional development banks under Ministry of SOEs totaled IDR729.9 billion as per September 2010.
Trading, hotel and restaurant business sector posted the highest level of loan absorption with IDR6.51 trillion while agriculture, mining and processing industry tailed in the second position with IDR2.36 trillion.
"The trading, hotel and restaurant sector absorbed 66% of small business loans while agriculture, mining and processing industry took up 17% of the loans," he said.
East Java absorbed the biggest portion of the loans with 13.5%, while Maluku booked the lowest absorption level by 0.6%. (T02/NOM)
