First Islamic hotel to be set up in China
The first Islamic hotel will be set up under the supervision of the UAE Lootah Group in Ningxia Province, China.

According to Al-Bayan newspaper, Hani Lashin, General Manager at Al Jawhara Hotels affiliated to Lootah Group said: “the Islamic hotel will be established as a part of the construction project of the World Muslim City in this province which will have five more hotels.” (source)



As one of the biggest hotels of the plan, the Islamic hotel with 200 rooms will cost about 36 million Dirhams to be completed by 2013.
The Group has increased its cooperation with the local and foreign investors to construct the City at the region.
Head of the official council of the World Muslim City said in this respect: “It will cost about 13.7 billion dollars to carry out the entire project, which is partially meant to attract investment from 57 Islamic countries. With various Islamic-cultural potentials, the city will become an appropriate tourist attraction to promote relations between China and over one billion Muslims in the world.
The construction project is expected to be accomplished in 2019, he added.
