JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) mencatat pertumbuhan industri perbankan syariah pada semester I-2012 cenderung melambat dibanding pertumbuhan pada akhir Desember 2012. Pengalihan dana haji ke Sukuk menjadi salah satu pemicunya.

“Kinerja perbankan syariah berdasarkan catatan masih berkembang sangat kecil. Saya lihat industri sepakat soal ini,” kata Direktur Eksekutif Departemen Perbankan Syariah BI, Edy Setiadi, dalam Bincang-Bincang Menguak Krisis Sumber Daya Insani di Perbankan Syariah di Jakarta, hari ini.

Dia mengatakan, perlambatan pertumbuhan perbankan syariah, salah satunya bisa dilihat dari pertumbuhan aset yang hanya sebesar 7,04 persen pada periode Januari-Juli 2012 (year to date/ytd). Hal itu berarti selama paruh pertama 2012, pertumbuhannya belum mencapai setengah dari total pertumbuhan aset tahun lalu, sebesar 48,6 persen (ytd) selama setahunan.

Di sisi lain, dana pihak ketiga (DPK) perbankan syariah hingga Juni 2012 (ytd) tercatat meningkat sebesar 3,62 persen, atau masih belum mencapai setengahnya dari total pertumbuhan tahun lalu sebesar 51,4 persen (ytd) selama setahunan. “Tapi secara year on year (yoy) tetap bertumbuh, sekitar 30 persen,” katanya.

Dari sisi pembiayaan, pertumbuhannya baru mencapai 14,7 persen (ytd) selama semester I-2012. Sedangkan, pada akhir Desember 2011, pertumbuhan pembiayaan bisa mencapai 50 persen. “Jadi kalau kita lihat pertumbuhan enam bulanan terakhir itu masih jauh dibanding gambaran pertumbuhan tahun lalu,” jelas Edy.

Selain karena pertumbuhan ekonomi yang melambat kendati tetap bertumbuh, pukulan cukup besar terhadap bank syariah memang terjadi akibat masalah dana haji. Seperti diketahui, pemerintah meminta bank-bank syariah memindahkan dana hajinya ke proyek sukuk belum lama ini.

Sementara itu, Sekretaris Jenderal Asosiasi Bank-Bank Syariah Indonesia (Asbisindo), Achmad K Permana, mengatakan terdapat tiga masalah utama yang membuat perbankan syariah belum dapat berkembang secara optimal.

Pertama, produk perbankan syariah yang terbatas sehingga tidak bisa bersaing dengan perbankan konvensional. Kedua, kesadaran nasabah bank syariah masih minim terhadap produk-produk perbankan syariah.

“Ketiga, masalah minimnya sumber daya manusia di bidang perbankan syariah. Cukup sulit bagi kami untuk merekrut fresh graduate khusus untuk perbankan syariah,” ujar Achmad. (ID/grace da)
