Vivanews - Government support to improve the delivery of certification of halal products in the country. It aims to drive economic growth in Indonesia is better in the future.

According to Coordinating Minister for Economy, Hatta Rajasa, halal certified products now has its own market share in the world. Until now, 20 percent of the world's food products are halal. (source)

INDONESIA - EVENTS - IHBF Indonesia Halal Business & Food Expo

2nd IHBF. Indonesia is a country where most of the population are Moslem. In 2010, Performax in cooperation with LPPOM MUI held 1st Halal Business and Food Expo in Jakarta (IHBF Expo). We received some feedbacks from various parties, so that this event should not only related to halal food issue, but would be much better if it can link to all aspects of Islamic business in Indonesia.

To that end, in August 12-14, 2011 we will host "Indonesia Halal Business and Food Expo" (IHBF Expo), the theme of "Halal Values ​​In All Aspects of Business". Performax cooperation with the Economic Community of Sharia (MES) and is supported by several Islamic institutions such as the Association of Indonesian Muslim Intellectuals (ICMI), Paramadina Foundation, the National Agency for Amil Zakat, the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.

HALAL - MUI to stage halal products expo (24-26 June Jakarta)

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Cosmetic and Food Research Division of the Indonesian Ulema Council (LPPOM MUI) is to hold a Halal Products Expo (Indhex) next June 24-26 at the Smesco building in Jakarta, a source said.

"The exhibition is designed to increase awareness among Indonesian Muslims about the importance of halal food certification," Director of LPPOM MUI Lukmanul Hakim said on Monday. (full story - antara news)

BUSINESS - Jakarta bizmen to participate in muslim product exhibition

Kuala Lumpur (ANTARA News) - Thirty businessmen from Jakarta will participate in the Muslim World Biz 2011 Exhibition in Kuala Lumpur next June to market their products to Muslim consumers, trade attache Ani Mulyati said.

"Thirty businessmen from Jakarta have confirmed their readiness to participate in the exhibition," she said here on Saturday.

The businessmen to join the exhibition include producers of muslim clothing, leather products, accessories, caligraphy products and halal foods. (full story - antara news)
