INDONESIA - OPINION - Awaiting the birth of a new state-owned Islamic Bank

www.bisnis.com - Bambang Riyanto Rustam - Islamic banking per the latest statistics released by Bank Indonesia show that Islamic banking industry in terms of per plant assets, third party funds (DPK), and financing had risen rapidly. But my dear pa sar share of Islamic banking to be yet until the end of 2011 at 5%.In fact, the Islamic banking industry has been developed for about two decades (1992-2012) in Indonesia.
 In terms of asset growth, based on sharia banking statistics shows that the performance of Islamic banking for 5 years (2007 2011) grew an average of 41% per year.
 Last year, growth in assets, deposits and financing of Islamic banks (BUS) and Islamic business units (UUS) also showed remarkable growth. (source)
