THE International Islamic Tourism Conference & Travel Mart (ITCM) will be held from October 28 till October 31 at the Putra World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur.
Themed "Harvesting the Potential of Intra-Regional Islamic Travel & Tourism", ITCM is set to be an annual event to promote and enhance Muslim travel and tourism as well as a platform for the convergence of academic perspectives and business aspects of tourism for the Muslim traveller.
Its organiser said ICTM has received encouraging response from industry players from local tourism and travel trade industry players, state governments as well as foreign participation.
It said that eight countries have shown positive interest and response namely Saudi Arabia, Brunei, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Egypt, Oman, Iran and South Africa.
ITCM is targeting 200 exhibition booths, 100 foreign travel trade buyers as well as 200 conference participants during the two-day by-invitation-only event.
Sponsorship is currently being offered at a limited number of tiers with PLUS Expressways Bhd having confirmed as a sponsor for the event so far.
