ISLAMIC MICROFINANCE - BMT Tamzis Wonosobo assets growth to 70 %

Wonosobo, (22/11). Baitulmaal Waa Tanwil (BMT) Tamzis Wonosobo – Central Java should be the role model for other BMT’s, as it has a very good performance since it was established on July 22 1992. It assets has growth 70 % Deposits is now IDR 135 billion and financing is IDR 133 billion.

The Director of BMT Tamzis, Saad Suharto said that it has channeled its financing to 85% in trading, 10% in housing and 5% in farming activities.

“From overall financing the Non Performing Financing of  BMT Tamzis is only around 1,1 %,” explained Saad.

The BMT business is very challenging as it provides Islamic micro financing, first of all it could serve the small community that is not bankable, second of all, the financing enhancement is supporting the production sectors, and finally, our community has the learning experience of Islamic finance transaction which is more comfortable.

BMT Tamzis is now more confident to serve its customers for more than for almost two decades, and it is now has a plan to expand its micro-financing businesses. BMT Tamzis has 28 branch offices and 370 employees scattered in Central Java, West Java, Jogjakarta and Jakarta regions. (Agus Y/Nibra)
