JAKARTA: PT Bank Syariah Bukopin seeks to book a moderate financing growth or around 40% in 2011 following the lender’s plan to increase its capital probably earlier next year.
President Director of Bank Bukopin Syariah Riyanto said that the plan to inject another IDR100 billion to the capital is expected to boost the capital adequacy ratio (CAR) from currently 11% to 16%.
Thus, he is quite optimistic that the growth target is relatively achievable following the potentially improved trend of the industry. “Next year we eye a moderate growth level according to the target of Bank Indonesia at 40%,” he said in Jakarta today.
Apart from that, he revealed that Bukopin’s financing growth only reached 20% until the end of November, lower compared to the target set earlier this year. The postponement of the capital augmentation plan apparently triggers such poor performance.
“The realization of our financing was only 20% or lower than our target earlier this year at 30%. However, such growth is relatively fit to our mid-year projection,” he said.
Syariah Bukopin recorded 18.71% financing growth until the end of October, to IDR1.51 trillion from IDR1.27 trillion in December 2009 (year to date). Such financing was realized through some products namely murabahah, musyarakah, and iB housing ownership. (T02/NOM)
