As of Dec. 29, state banks had distributed Rp 13.6 trillion (US$ 1.5 million) in micro loans this year, the State-Owned Enterprises Ministry announced Friday.
“The total amount distributed in micro loans from state banks [in 2010] was Rp 13.6 trillion or 82 percent of the total amount of micro loans disbursed across Indonesia throughout the year,” SOE Minister Mustafa Abubakar said.
The government had targeted to distribute Rp 16.4 trillion in micro loans this year, Mustafa said.
State-owned Bank BRI distributed Rp 9.7 trillion, while Bank Mandiri and Bank BNI distributed Rp 2 trillion and Rp 1.2 trillion, he said.
Meanwhile, Bank Tabungan Negara disbursed Rp 637 billion, and Bank Mandiri Syariah and Bank Bukopin disbursed Rp 432 billion and Rp 245 billion.
