JAKARTA: PT Jakarta Futures Exchange (JFX) is targeting to launch sharia futures commodity products (murabahah) in July 2011.“Six months since January, you will see clearly of what murabahah products we are will launch,” said Director of BBJ Bihar Sakti Wibawa at a press conference in Jakarta this afternoon.
According to him, the company had just set up a partnership to create sharia products with National Sharia Council (DSN) last December.
“Tomorrow we will meet the sharia players in Indonesia, particularly DSN and sharia banks,” he said as accompanied by President Director of BBJ Made Soekarwo and Director Roy Sembel.
Bihar also said that BBJ is authorized to create murabahah products, applicable to olein, crude plam oil (CPO), coffee, and gold products.
“In July, we are expecting everything to be clearer because the demand for Islamic products is very high,” said Bihar. (T06/NOM)
