Bank Indonesia Annual Seminar on International Islamic Finance is one of annual seminar series held by Bank Indonesia aiming at promoting Islamic finance industry (especially Islamic banking) to foster economic growth and financial stability.
The seminar will be held in the exotic city – Yogyakarta, Wednesday-Thursday, on April 20th and 21st, 2011 with theme "Can the Indonesian Islamic Finance Sustain the High Growth Regime Up to 2015 Beyond?".
The event will discuss some significant issues in Islamic finance such as: Does Islamic banking promote economic development and financial stability, The role of the government in supporting the Islamic banking development, Filling the gap in the Islamic banking industry, Moving towards the sharia convergence, and Islamic finance product development.
Well experienced international speakers will share their ideas and views on those topics and an estimated audience of over 200 financial practitioners, regulators, academician and Islamic scholars is expected to attend the seminar. There is no tuition fee (free of charge). However, there are only 200 seats available on the first come first serve basis.
