Jakarta, (14/4). Indonesian Government issued another sovereign sukuk from hajj funds for IDR 2 trillion, serial no SDHI 2021A. The head of public relation of the Department of finance, Premade said this sukuk serial no SDHI 2021A issued on April 11, 2011 with maturity date of April 11, 2021. This sukuk issuance as agreed by the minister of religious affairs and Department of Finance in managing the hajj funds by way of private placement (full story)
“This new sukuk issuance is based on mutual agreement,” said Pramadi.
The placement of hajj funds is now becomes the prime concern of the government in order to secure the investment of the funds from hajj saving account. This sukuk issuance will certainly assist the government budget to construct the infrastructure projects.[nibra]
