The Islamic-Syariah bank which owns assets worth Rp557.6 billion, is optimistic that the syariah business in the country would develop well in line with the national economic growth which almost reached seven percent, BII Division Head Chairil A Azis said during a function in Surabaya, East Java, on Sunday. Chairil was in Surabaya to inaugurate a BII Syariah branch office (KCS).

He said that the establishment of the BII Syariah office in Surabaya was to stay closer to its customers in East Java, and to anticipate the development of business centers and support business players who have continued to develop their businesses from year to year.

"The presence of BII syariah office in Surabaya is to enable its office to provide closer services to its customers in East Java," he said.
