Bank Mandiri would still inject unit PT Bank Syariah Mandiri by September 2011 to support its fast growing business.
Pahala N Mansyuri, CFO of Bank Mandiri, told Detik.com Sunday (July 24), that the capital injection has been planned since early this year as part of the state bank's business plan. Mandiri plans to inject about Rp210 billion into BSM. (source)
Yuslam Fauzi, CEO of Bank Syariah Mandiri, said the sharia bank's capital adequacy ratio (CAR) has declined due to strong financing demand from customers since early this year.
BSM, according to Yuslam, even asked for bigger capital injection from Bank Mandirisupport its future growth. BSM also asked for a faster injection than the scheduled September 2011.
