REPUBLIKA.CO.ID,JAKARTA - Penjualan saham bank syariah tertua Tanah Air, PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia, ditunda hingga waktu yang belum ditentukan. Menurut Direktur Utama Muamalat, Arviyan Arifin, belum ditemukannya kesepakatan mengenai harga menjadi salah satu alasan.
Ia mengaku untuk bank dengan kinerja seperti Muamalat, nilai bank ini memang cukup tinggi. ''Jadi, kemungkinan investor lokal memang tidak memiliki dana sebesar itu,'' katanya pada Republika saat ditemui di sela-sela Joint High Level Conference on Islamic Finance, Senin (18/7).
Selain itu, ia berujar keinginan investor terutama dalam negeri untuk membeli Muamalat juga terbentur aturan Batas Maksimun Pemberian Kredit (BMPK). Di mana BMPK harus 10 persen dari modal.
''Kalau mereka punya modal Rp 50 triliun, BMPK-nya berarti sekitar Rp 5 triliun. Nah harga kita itu di atas ini,'' jelasnya.
Pembahasan pembatasan saham asing dan individu yang sedang digodok Bank Indonesia (BI) juga menjadi alasan tersendiri. Ia menegaskan penjualan saham merupakan cara pemegang saham mencari strategic partner untuk mengembangkan Muamalat. ''Tapi, bukan berarti mereka tidak komit,'' jelasnya.
