MALAYSIA - CAPITAL MARKETS - Tenaga plans RM5b Islamic bond sale
Tenaga Nasional Bhd, Malaysia’s biggest power producer, plans to raise as much as RM5 billion (US$1.7 billion) from a 20-year Islamic bond offering, its chief executive officer said today. (source)
“We plan to sell the bonds in August or September,” Che Khalib Mohamad Noh told Bloomberg in an interview. “We have short-listed three investment banks for the underwriting.”It will be the company’s first debt sale since 2004. -- Bloomberg
