“One of them is Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank which is interested in investing in a bank in Indonesia,” said Mansyur at a seminar which carried the title: “Indonesia's Islamic Financial Services: Opportunities and Challenges," in Jakarta on Thursday. A consul at the consulate-general said Al Hilal Bank was also interested in making investments.
Mansyur expects the investment plan to be realized. Mansyur believed the UAE bankers have visited the Bank Indonesia in order to gather information about the regulations in Indonesia. “They see Indonesia as a proper place. They then take into considerations the institutional policy and other social impacts,” Mansyur added.
