JAKARTA: PT Bank Syariah Mandiri obtained IDR300 billion loan facility
from PT Sentra Multigriya Finansial (SMF) to support expansion of its
property financing business.

The loan employs mudharabah wal murabahah contract and is due in 3 years. The yield is 65:35 where SMF secures the largest portion.
The facility will be channeled to expand BSM’s mortgage financing which is targeted to reach IDR2.1 trillion at the end of the year, said Amran.
“Until the end of August, BSM’s Home Financing [PPR] portfolio distributed to end user was recorded at IDR1.8 trillion, excluding PPR distributed to employers.”
Erica Soeroto hoped other sharia banks will follow BSM's steps to obtain long-term loan facility to their support property expansions. (19/20/T05/NOM)
