INDONESIA - BANKING - BRI Syariah to Open 150 Offices in 2012

Theindonesiatoday.com - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) Syariah plans to open 150 offices next year for achieving financing growth target of more than 60%, Bisnis Indonesia reported this morning.

Ventje Rahardjo, president director of BRI Syariah, said investment for one office under purchase scheme will total around Rp66 million.

BRI Syariah has currently 105 office branches plus 60 offices channeling through its holding PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI).  (source)

Ventje said BRI Syariah targets 46% asset growth to Rp16 trillion next year, supported by loan expansion projected to reach Rp15 trillion, jumped 66.6% from Rp9 trillion in 2011.

Ventje said loan to micro segment is expected to grow to Rp2.4 trillion from Rp1.2 trillion this year while loan to property sector is targeted to more than double to Rp2.8 trillion from Rp1.2 trillion this year.
