INDONESIA - BANKING - CIMB Niaga Gelontorkan Rp 100 billion to the Sharia Window

Jakarta - PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (BNGA) made additional capital to business units sharia Rp 100 billion. With the additional capital, paid up capital of CIMB Niaga Syariah recorded at Rp 450 billion as of December 2011.
"The addition of capital to CIMB Niaga Syariah Management CIMB Niaga is a commitment to support the growth of Islamic banking business, especially finance, and maintain a capital adequacy ratio (Capital Adequacy Ratio / CAR)," said Director of Retail Banking and CIMB Niaga Syariah Ferdy Sutrisno in a press release on Thursday (29/12/2011).  (source)


Ferdi explained, CIMB Niaga Syariah additional capital will support the growth of sharia banking business. That's because capital is an important factor in supporting the growth of financing.
"CIMB Niaga Syariah CAR target to keep the ratio above 14%. Thus, CIMB Niaga Islamic banking business is expected to continue to grow," said Ferdy.
Meanwhile, Head of Islamic Banking CIMB Niaga U Saefudin Noer, adding the last two years, additional capital has been performed three times. The addition of Rp 135 billion first performed in March 2010. While the latter amounting to Rp 100 billion made in June 2011.
"As for the latter amounting to Rp 100 billion made on December 9, 2011 bringing the total paid up capital of CIMB Niaga Syariah to Rp 450 billion. So, in the last two years, we thank CIMB Niaga Syariah capital increase three times," said Saefudin.
Saefudin also said a number of CIMB Niaga Syariah business indicators continued to show improvement. Based on data from the publication by September 2011, CIMB Niaga Syariah financing channeled recorded increased 95% from Rp 1.45 trillion as of September 2010 to Rp 2.82 trillion as of September 2011.
Third party funds (DPK) increased 95% from Rp 1.76 trillion to Rp 3.44 trillion. The second indicator is the increasing business boost assets by 71% from Rp 2.46 trillion as of September 2010 to Rp 4.21 trillion as of September 2011. The CAR ratio per September 2011 at the level of 13.32%.
Improvement followed improvement in the performance of Islamic finance asset quality. The ratio of net financing problems or Net Non-Performing Financing (NPF Net) as at September 2011 is 0.5%, still lower than the net NPF as of September 2010 of 0.7%. This figure is below the prevailing Bank Indonesia amounting to 5%.
"Thus, the increase in CIMB Niaga Syariah financing is managed through the prudent practice of Islamic banking and according to Islamic principles," said Saefudin.(Dru / ang)

Jakarta - PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (BNGA) melakukan penambahan modal ke unit usaha syariahnya Rp 100 miliar. Dengan tambahan modal tersebut maka, modal disetor CIMB Niaga Syariah tercatat sebesar Rp 450 miliar per Desember 2011.

"Penambahan modal kepada CIMB Niaga Syariah merupakan komitmen Manajemen CIMB Niaga untuk mendukung pertumbuhan bisnis perbankan syariah khususnya pembiayaan, serta menjaga rasio kecukupan modal (Capital Adequacy Ratio/CAR)," kata Direktur Retail Banking dan Syariah CIMB Niaga Ferdy Sutrisno dalam siaran persnya, Kamis (29/12/2011).

Ferdi menjelaskan, penambahan modal CIMB Niaga Syariah akan mendukung pertumbuhan bisnis perbankan syariahnya. Hal itu karena modal merupakan faktor penting dalam mendukung pertumbuhan pembiayaan.

"CIMB Niaga Syariah menargetkan untuk menjaga rasio CAR di atas 14%. Dengan demikian, bisnis perbankan syariah CIMB Niaga diharapkan dapat terus tumbuh," jelas Ferdy.

Sementara itu, Head of Syariah Banking CIMB Niaga U Saefudin Noer, menambahkan dalam dua tahun terakhir, penambahan modal telah dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali. Penambahan pertama sebesar Rp 135 miliar dilakukan pada Maret 2010. Sedangkan yang kedua sebesar Rp 100 miliar dilakukan pada Juni 2011.

"Adapun yang terakhir sebesar Rp 100 miliar dilakukan pada 9 Desember 2011 sehingga total modal disetor CIMB Niaga Syariah menjadi Rp 450 miliar. Jadi, dalam dua tahun terakhir, kami bersyukur modal CIMB Niaga Syariah bertambah tiga kali," kata Saefudin.

Saefudin juga menyebutkan, sejumlah indikator bisnis CIMB Niaga Syariah terus menunjukkan peningkatan. Berdasarkan data publikasi per September 2011, pembiayaan disalurkan CIMB Niaga Syariah tercatat meningkat 95% dari Rp 1,45 triliun per September 2010 menjadi Rp 2,82 triliun per September 2011.

Dana pihak ketiga (DPK) meningkat 95% dari Rp 1,76 triliun menjadi Rp 3,44 triliun. Meningkatnya kedua indikator bisnis ini mendorong peningkatan aset sebesar 71% dari Rp 2,46 triliun per September 2010 menjadi Rp 4,21 triliun per September 2011. Adapun rasio CAR per September 2011 berada di level 13,32%.

Peningkatan kinerja pembiayaan syariah diikuti membaiknya kualitas aktiva produktif. Rasio pembiayaan bermasalah bersih atau Net Non Performing Financing (Net NPF) per September 2011 yang sebesar 0,5%, masih lebih rendah dibanding net NPF per September 2010 yang sebesar 0,7%. Angka ini masih berada dibawah ketentuan Bank Indonesia yang sebesar 5%.

"Dengan demikian, peningkatan pembiayaan CIMB Niaga Syariah dikelola melalui praktik perbankan syariah yang prudent dan sesuai prinsip syariah," kata Saefudin.
