INDONESIA - TAKAFUL - Shariah Bumida Target 70 Percent Premium Increase

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Bumiputera Muda (Bumida) Syariah menargetkan premi pada tahun 2012 sebesar Rp 52,25 miliar. Jumlah ini meningkat 70 persen dibandingkan tahun lalu, yaitu Rp 30,92 miliar.

"Dari pertumbuhan yang kami capai dua tahun terakhir, kami optimis bisa mencapai target 2012," ujar Direktur Utama Bumida, Mohammad Irsyad, kepada wartawan, Senin (2/4).

Menurut Irsyad, potensi syariah masih belum tergarap sepenuhnya. Market share industri syariah masih di posisi 4,9 persen. Hal ini berarti kesempatan Bumida untuk mengembangkan industri syariah masih cukup besar.
