BANKING - Sharia banks reap IDR1.05 trillion profit in 2010

JAKARTA: Profit of sharia banking industry last year reached IDR1.05 trillion or rose by 32.91% from previous year with total financing of IDR68.18 trillion. (source)


JAKARTA: Laba perbankan syariah sepanjang tahun lalu mencapai Rp1,05 triliun atau naik sekitar 32,91% dibandingkan dengan perolehan laba pada tahun sebelumnya, dengan total pembiayaan mencapai Rp68,18 triliun.

Such figure was unveiled in the unaudited statistics about Sharia banking in 2010 released by Bank Indonesia just now.

The statistics said that the revenue of 11 Sharia banks and 23 Sharia business units in Indonesia totaled IDR11.11 trillion or 23.88% increase compared to the previous year.

The revenue was dominated by operating revenue of IDR8.75 trillion while the remaining contributors were the other operating revenues and non-operating revenues.

Regarding expenses, Sharia banking spent IDR9.81 trillion or soared by 20.52% compared to IDR8.14 trillion In 2009.

The total expenses were based on IDR4.47 trillion operating expenses and IDR4.38 trillion non-operating expenses while the other operating expenses amounted IDR963 bilion. (T02/NOM)
