CAPITAL MARKETS - SUKUK - Indonesia plans to issue 3-mth, 6-mth and 12-mth sharia T-bills
Indonesia's finance ministry plans to issue 3-month, 6-month and 12-month sharia T-bills starting from the end of the second quarter this year, said Dahlan Siamat, sharia director at the debt office, on Wednesday. (full story)
The move is aimed at providing short-term financial instruments after the central bank stopped regularly selling its 3-month and 6-month SBI debt, part of measures to reduce volatile capital inflows.
Siamat also said the ministry aimed to raise 1 trillion rupiah ($114.6 million) from a sukuk auction on April 12. ($1 = 8722.5 Rupiah) (Reporting by Adriana Nina Kusuma and Rieka Rahadiana; Editing by Neil Chatterjee)
