Direktur International Center for Development Islamic Finance (ICDIF), Harisman mengungkapkan bahwa SDM dalam perbankan syariah menjadi perhatian bersama dan harus ditangani khusus karena merupakan sesuatu yang utama. “SDM adalah aset utama perbankan syariah oleh karena itu harus ditangani secara khusus,” ujarnya pada pkesinteraktif.com.
Kebutuhan akan SDM di perbankan syariah akan selalu meningkat. Oleh karena itu menurutnya harus terdapat dua sisi yang ditingkatkan yaitu kuantitas dan kualitas. “Jadi dua-duanya harus itu, baik kuantitas maupun kualitas dan bank-bank syariah konsen akan hal itu,”ucapnya.
Menanggapi perihal pengambilan SDM dari perbankan konvesional, Harisman menganggap hal itu tak masalah, asalkan pendidikan akan ekonomi syariah pada SDM tersebut harus ditingkatkan. “Banyak orang-orang bank syariah yang merupakan orang konvensional. Jadi pendidikannya harus ditingkatkan lagi,”tandasnya. (ul)
