“Not only do we provide all the information about our services, we also attached an online calculator to help customers calculate possible transactions,” he said.
The website also provided information like gold prices in local and international markets. Ventje said that such information could help customers to arrange their financial planning such as gold purchase and housing loans.
Ventje said that his company often received questions on housing loans or gold purchase in social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
“Instead of answering questions through Twitter or Facebook, we think developing our own website will be more helpful,” he said, adding that the website would also help visitors understand sharia financial terminology.
BRI Syariah marketing communication head Hanifah Fibianti said the bank hoped to gain more customers through the website.
Currently, BRI Syariah, which was established in 2009, has 102 branches and 4,500 customers, mainly individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises.
