KUALA LUMPUR: Kuwait Finance House (M) Bhd (KFH Malaysia) has appointed Dr Nabeel Al-Mannae independent non-executive chairman and director.
Dr
Nabeel, who is an experienced economist and banker with over 20 years
of experience in the financial industry, will play a pivotal role as the
new chairman of the first foreign Islamic Bank in Malaysia. (source)

will continuously support the objective of Kuwait Finance House KSC
(KFH Kuwait) to position KFH Malaysia as its subsidiary to expand in the
region, thus supporting the aspiration of Malaysia as an Islamic
financial centre.
Dr Nabeel joined KFH Kuwait as vice-chairman on
March 16. He is currently the chairman and managing director of Hayat
Investment Company. He started his career at Central Bank of Kuwait where he specialised in economic research and monetary policy from 1987 to 2008.
