www.theindonesiatoday.com - JAKARTA, Indonesia Today - PT Bank Syariah Mandiri (BSM) plans to open 300 micro outlets this year for boosting its micro financing portfolio, Bisnis.com reported.
Yuslam Fauzi, BSM's president director, said the bank will continue develop micro financing market as it focuses on retail segment.
He said the micro outlets will be set up in the existing office branches which currently total 690 units.(source)
BSM earlier said it focuses on micro, small and medium business, with financing for corporates accounting for 31.94% and the rest 68.06% of financing allocating to non corporates.
Yuslam said BSM booked unaudited financing of Rp36.6 trillion last year, doubled from Rp23.97 trillion in 2010. 70% of total financing was distributed to micro, small and medium business while the rest for corporates.
BSM booked third party funds of Rp42.62 trillion in 2011, grew 46.96% from Rp29 trillion in previous year, while assets totaled Rp48.84 trillion, compared to Rp32.48 trillion in 2010. (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
