REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Kinerja pembiayaan gadai emas di Pegadaian Syariah pada 2011meroket hingga 80 persen dibanding tahun sebelumnya. Kenaikan gadai emas diprediksi masih akan berlanjut pada pertengahan hingga akhir Desember 2012.

Dari total outstanding pembiayaan gadai per Desember 2011, Rp 2,24 triliun, 95 persennya merupakan kontribusi gadai emas. Pembiayaan gadai emas selama Januari 2012 pun naik lebih dari 5 persen dibandingkan Desember 2011 yakni mencapai Rp 950 miliar.

Meski ada penghentian sementara transaksi gadai emas bagi nasabah baru di bank syariah, General Manager Pegadaian Syariah, Suhardjo, enggan menyebut hal itu menjadi pemicu kenaikan kinerja. Hal ini lantaran sejak ada penghentian transaksi gadai emas di bank syariah medio Desember lalu, kenaikan pembiayaan gadai emas di Pegadaian Syariah tidak cukup signifikan. “Sulit menghubungkan keduanya, “ ujar dia, Selasa (21/2).

Kenaikan kinerja gadai emas, dinilai lebih banyak dipengaruhi kepercayaan masyarakat pada investasi emas. Akibatnya, masih banyak masyarakat yang memilih menggadaikan emas untuk mendapatkan pembiayaan di Pegadaian Syariah. Hanya lima persen barang gadai selain emas seperti kendaraan dan barang elektronik yang dipakai masyarakat.

Gadai emas di Pegadaian Syariah tidak terpengaruh adanya pembatasan transaksi dari Bank Indonesia. Plafon pembiayaan gadai emas di bank syariah akan dibatasi BI hanya Rp 250 juta. Sementara di Pegadaian Syariah, plafon pembiayaan gadai emas bisa lebih dari nilai tersebut.

Meski bisa memberi pembiayaan lebih besar, Suhardjo mengaku rata-rata pembiayaan gadai emas di Pegadaian Syariah masih di plafon Rp 200 juta. Masyarakat yang akan meminta pembiayaan lebih dari Rp 200 juta, harus meminta persetujuan kantor wilayah. “Kita juga hitung outstanding pembiayaan di setiap cabang, tidak bisa pembiayaan didominasi hanya satu nasabah, “ ujar dia.

Selain itu, Pegadaian Syariah tetap menerapkan manajemen risiko untuk mengantisipasi harga emas. Pegadaian Syariah menetapkan Financing to Value (FTV) atau nilai gadai sebesar 90-93 persen. Selain itu, maksimal jangka waktu gadai dibatasi selama empat bulan. Hanya saja, Pegadaian Syariah masih mengizinkan gadai bertingkat (berkali-kali).
