www.iigf.co.id - Manila, 30 April 2012 - PT Indonesia Infrastructure Guarantee Corporation (Limited) / PII and the Islamic Corporation for Insurance of Investments and Export Credits ("ICIEC") has signed a Memorandum of Understanding today in Asia Finance and Risk Mitigation Forum 2012 in Makati City, Philippines.

ICIEC is part of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group, which provides export credit and investment insurance in accordance with Islamic Sharia to the parties that invest in member countries ICIEC or export of these countries.   (source)


This memorandum of understanding with both sides hoping to play a more active role in supporting the infrastructure projects and increased infrastructure investment in Indonesia. Among others, in terms of providing assurance together, which is expected to help the project to attract investors by providing a lower financial burden or maximizing value for money in PPP projects. In addition both parties will work together to promote infrastructure investment, by providing insurance and reinsurance, particularly for infrastructure projects. In addition, PII and ICIEC will strive to increase public understanding of the political risk guarantees through joint conferences, seminars, and training.

Manila, 30 April 2012 -  PT  Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (Persero) / PII dan Islamic Corporation for Insurance of Investments and Export Credits (“ICIEC”) telah menandatangani Nota Kesepahaman hari ini  pada Asia Finance and Risk Mitigation Forum 2012  di Makati City, Filipina.

ICIEC adalah bagian dari Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group, yang memberikan kredit ekspor dan asuransi investasi yang sesuai dengan Syariah Islam kepada pihak yang berinvestasi di negara anggota ICIEC atau mengekspor dari negara –negara tersebut.

Dengan nota kesepahaman ini kedua belah pihak berharap dapat berperan lebih aktif dalam mendukung proyek-proyek infrastruktur dan meningkatkan investasi infrastruktur di Indonesia. Antara lain  dalam hal pemberian penjaminan bersama, yang diharapkan dapat membantu proyek untuk menarik para investor dengan  memberikan beban keuangan yang lebih rendah atau lebih memaksimalkan value for money dalam  proyek KPS.

Selain itu kedua belah pihak akan bekerja sama  mempromosikan investasi infrastruktur, dengan menyediakan khususnya penjaminan dan reasuransi untuk proyek –proyek infrastruktur. Selain itu,  PII dan ICIEC akan berusaha untuk meningkatkan pemahaman publik  mengenai jaminan risiko politik melalui joint conference, seminar, dan training.
