Improvement of Welfare of the Ummah”
Bogor, July 19-21, 2011

WORLD ZAKAT FORUM
Zakat development in the Muslim world for the last decade has shown an impressive growth. Its significance to the national and communal development is irrefutable, as zakat contributes to social security and harmony by reducing the gap between the have and the have not, and strengthens the economic independence of the Muslim society. The zakat fund is also an important financial source for the country in addition to tax fund. The distribution of zakat fund could help generate and steer the Islamic country’s economic activities.
