Jakarta (16/12) - Shariah Economic Community (MES) providing advice to the government related to the establishment of the Financial Services Authority (OJK). OJK which will become the regulator for all financial institutions, which included the Islamic Financial Institutions (LKS), need to formulate a pattern of surveillance and the development of worksheets so that it can develop quickly.
"In the OJK Law does not mention the Islamic finance industry. We do provide input to the OJK law to give kontibusi in the development of Islamic economics," said Shakir Sula M MES as the Secretary-General told reporters during a press conference to the National Conference of MES-2 in Jakarta, Thursday (15 / 12). Shakir further reveals the need for a figure in the institution OJK particular concern about the economic tenets of Islamic finance.
"It was agreed the commissioner OJK 9 people. We want to have a figure who understands about the business of sharia," he said. (Ul)
OJK Harus Dukung Pengembangan Lembaga Keuangan Syariah
Jakarta (16/12)- Masyarakat Ekonomi Syariah (MES) memberikan masukan kepada pemerintah terkait dibentuknya Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK). OJK yang akan menjadi lembaga pengawas seluruh lembaga keuangan, dimana di dalamnya termasuk Lembaga Keuangan Syariah (LKS), perlu merumuskan pola pengawasan dan pengembangan LKS sehingga dapat berkembang dengan cepat."Dalam UU OJK tidak disebutkan industri keuangan syariah. Kita kan memberikan masukan terhadap UU OJK agar memberi kontibusi dalam perkembangan ekonomi syariah," ujar M Syakir Sula selaku Sekretaris Jendral MES pada wartawan dalam konferensi pers Munas MES ke-2 di Jakarta, Kamis (15/12).
Lebih lanjut Syakir mengungkapkan perlu adanya figur dalam lembaga OJK yang konsen terhadap ekonomi syariah khususnya bisnis syariah.
"Telah disepakati adanya 9 orang komisioner OJK. Kami Ingin ada figur yang memahami tentang bisnis syariah," tandasnya. (Ul)
