SURABAYA: Bank Indonesia minta perbankan syariah  tidak terlalu berambisi memacu kredit konsumsi menyusul kebijakan bank central menurunkan  rasio kredit  nilai barang (loan to value/LTV) terhadap bank konvensional.


Sebaliknya bank berbasis syariah Islam ini disarankan untuk tetap menggenjot pertumbuhan kredit investasi dan modal kerja.

Deputi Pemimpin BI Surabaya Bidang Pengawasan Perbankan Sarwanto mengemukakan hal itu terkait banyaknya  perbankan syariah di Jatim yang siap meendongkrak pertumbuhan pembiayaan konsumsi seperti KPR dan kredit pembelian  kendaraan.


Padahal per  Februari 2012  penyaluran pembiayaan investasi perbankan syariah yang beroperasi di Jatim mengalami petumbuhan pesat yakni mencapai 120%. Tertinggi dibandingkan realisasi kredit di sektor lain.


Data di kantor Bank Indonesia (KBI) Surabaya menyebutkan per Februari 2012 total pembiayaan investasi perbankan syariah  mencapai Rp1,48 triliun. Sementara periode yang sama tahun lalu tercatat Rp671 miliar.


Namun Ketua Asosiasi Bank Syariah Indonesia (Asbisindo) Jatim, Ersyam Fanshuri mengatakan kebijakan pembatasan  LTV KPR dan KKB bank konvensional maksimal sebesar 70% akan menjadi pluang  bank-bank syariah mendongkrak kredit konsumsi.

"Bagi kami, itu bisa menjadi kesempatan untuk meningkatkan pembiayaan konsumsi khususnya KPR dan KKB," ujarnya hari ini, Senin 23 April 2012.

Selama ini, lanjutnya, pembiayaan perbankan syariah  masih berkutat di sektor riil yakni investasi dan  modal kerja. Bahkan pertumbuhan kredit investasi menduduki peringkat pertama.  (ra)
