INDONESIA - BANKING - Sharia will PermataBank Fund in Car Segment

According to Permana, as the steps the Bank Indonesia (BI) impose a minimum payment of motor vehicle loans in the conventional financial institutions then there is the possibility of consumers turning to Islamic financial institutions in taking financing.
Islamic financial institutions are not affected by the regulations that have the opportunity to develop that business in Islamic banking.
In the first half of 2012 Sharia PermataBank recorded a total financing amounting to Rp 4, 78 trillion. Of the total of 10 percent is channeled through the financing of motor vehicles segment.
While the share of financing in the credit segment (mortgage) by 25 percent, 30 percent of SMEs and Corporate Banking 35 percent.
"In the future we want each 25 percent share of funding, including for the financing of motor vehicles," he said.
Permana said PermataBank Sharia current capital structure is more strongly with equity grew 215 percent year on year (yoy) to Rp769 billion at the end of June 2012.

JAKARTA-PermataBank Syariah akan melakukan pembiayaan di segmen kendaraan bermotor roda empat mulai semester II 2012 karena melihat adanya peluang pada segmen tersebut.

"Selama ini kami hanya melakukan pembiayaan roda dua. Mungkin semester II ini kami masuk ke roda empat karena kami melihat ada peluang di sana," kata Kepala PermataBank Syariah, Achmad K Permana di Jakarta, Rabu (8/8).

Ia mengatakan, pembiayaan kendaraan bermotor dilakukan bekerja sama dengan PT Astra International Tbk. Astra telah mempersiapkan skim pembiayaan syariah bagi kliennya.

Menurut Permana, seiring langkah Bank Indonesia (BI) memberlakukan batas minimum uang muka kredit kendaraan bermotor di lembaga keuangan konvensional maka ada kemungkinan konsumen beralih ke lembaga keuangan syariah dalam mengambil pembiayaan.

Lembaga pembiayaan syariah tidak terkena dampak peraturan itu sehingga memiliki peluang untuk mengembangkan bisnis itu di perbankan syariah.

Pada semester I 2012 PermataBank Syariah mencatat total pembiayaan sebesar Rp4,78 triliun. Dari total tersebut sebanyak 10 persen disalurkan melalui pembiayaan segmen kendaraan bermotor.

Sementara itu porsi pembiayaan di segmen kredit pemilikan rumah (KPR) sebesar 25 persen, Usaha Kecil Menengah 30 persen dan Corporate Banking 35 persen.

"Ke depan kita ingin masing-masing 25 persen porsi pembiayaannya, termasuk bagi pembiayaan kendaraan bermotor," kata dia.

Permana mengatakan struktur permodalan PermataBank Syariah saat ini semakin kuat dengan ekuitas tumbuh 215 persen year on year (yoy) menjadi Rp769 miliar pada akhir Juni 2012.

"Di tengah ekspansi pembiayaan yang kuat, PermataBank Syariah mencatat Rasio Kecukupan Modal yang meningkat hingga 19,17 persen pada 30 Juni 2012, meningkat dari posisi tahun sebelumnya 12,88 persen," katanya.(ant/hrb)
