REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, YOGYAKARTA - Bank Muamalat Indonesia (BMI), bersama Baitulmaal Muamalat (BMM) menjelang lebaran 1432 H ini menyalurkan zakat  Rp 5,6 Milyar. Dana ini telah disalurkan ke seluruh mustahik di Indonesia termasuk di Yoyakarta.

“Kami ingin berbagi dengan mereka yang berkekurangan. Bank Muamalat sebagai lembaga bisnis tidak boleh melupakan fungsi sosialnya," terang Branch Manager BMI Cabang Yogyakarta, Hery Wahyudi, Selasa (23/8). Pembagian dana tersebut dilakukan melalui program Sahur, Berbuka dan Lebaran (SBL) BMI di seluruh Indonesia.

Menurutnya, secara nasional jumlah penerima dana tersebut sebanyak 72.048 orang. Mereka terdiri atas anak yatim dan keluarga miskin yang tersebar di 33 propinsi di Indonesia. Sedangkan di Jawa Tengah dan Provinsi DIY  diberikan di 8 kota yaitu di Semarang, Yogyakarta, Solo, Pekalongan dan Purwokerto.

Rangkaian program SBL sendiri kata dia, dilaksanakan secara simultan di 300 kantor cabang Bank Muamalat dan wilayah-wilayah pemberdayaan Baitulmaal Muamalat di seluruh Indonesia. Di wilayah Yogyakarta di berikan dalam bentuk santunan Ramadhan berupa paket sembako dan uang tunai kepada 100 orang anak-anak yatim dan dhuafa.

Dana zakat yang dibagi untuk para mustahik tersebut menurut Hery, merupakan dana seluruh nasabah, karyawan, dan para muzakki yang mempercayakan dananya ke BMI.
