BERITAJAKARTA.COM - As an effort to increase bank intermediation function, DKI Bank through Syariah Business Unit (UUS) distributes working capital funding as much as Rp 150 billion to Pawnshop with 12 months of period. The funding is distributed by skim al musyarakah executing. The cooperation signing of funding distribution is applied by Director of DKI Bank, Eko Budiwiyono and Director of Pawnshop, Suwhono in Jakarta, Tuesday (9/20). (source)
Eko explained this funding will be used for additional working capital to be distributed to consumers of pawnshop based on syariah principle. The pawnshop consumers are people who needs loan to be consumed or business needs.
Through this funding, DKI Bank hopes can speed acceleration of syariah banking by increasing funding expansion of DKI
Bank syariah to funding institution such as Pawnshop and Micro Small Medium Trades (UMKM) and Pawnshop service office cooperation which reach 914 units in Jakarta. According to him, this marketing network has strong potential. “Pawnshop is a credible company with prime financial and business. Besides, it is also known with good reputation
at market,” he added, Tuesday (9/20).
He explained that DKI Bank Syariah Business Unit (UUS) is now developing rapidly. He write until August 2011, UUS DKI Bank has asset Rp 930.48 billion with third party
funding as much as Rp 531.32 billion and has distributed Rp 705 billion and profit Rp18.32 billion.
Recently, the network of DKI Bank had has 12 offices which consist of 2 offices branch Syariah, 3 offices branch Syariah Assistant and 7 syariah offices as well as 38 channeling office in DKI Bank conventional office.
In meantime, DKI Bank Syariah Business Unit will launch iB gold pawn product (rahn) and hajj bailout fund as well as opening Micro Syariah Stand. In running the marketing
strategy, DKI Bank Syariah Business will approach retail and micro business as well as based on Segmented Community Based Marketing by visiting target communities such as school, social institution, mass organization and several informal communities to offer cooperation for all members.
