REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Bank syariah dinilai tak bisa lagi mengandalkan produk standar untuk menarik nasabah. Kompetisi di industri perbankan dinilai sudah sangat ketat. Apalagi, investment grade diprediksi memacu kinerja perbankan yang akan semakin meningkatkan kompetisi.

Wakil presiden chief business officer Markplus, Taufik, mengatakan faktor pertumbuhan ekonomi juga mempengaruhi persaingan dalam produk perbankan. Menurutnya, pertumbuhan ekonomi membuat negara semakin mengurangi jaminan pada warga negara. Karena itu, perbankan harus berinovasi untuk menawarkan berbagai produk yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan warga.
“Jika perbankan masih menawarkan basic product, itu akan susah (dilirik nasabah),“ ujarnya.
