Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Bank Syariah Mandiri (BSM), a sharia unit of Indonesia`s largest state lender Bank Mandiri, posted a net profit of Rp192.72 billion in the first quarter of 2012, up by 42.87 percent from a year earlier.

"The net profit hike was mainly contributed by margin income and profit sharing," the bank said in a press statement released here on Tuesday.

The bank`s margin income and profit sharing rose by 24.76 percent to Rp1.07 trillion in the year ended March 31, 2012 from Rp860 billion a year earlier, the statement said. (source)
