INDONESIA - TAKAFUL - Allianz Life premium income up 44% of Sharia

INDONESIA - TAKAFUL - BNI Life premiums achieve the target of Rp 1.9 trillion in 2012

www.kontan.co.id - JAKARTA. PT BNI Life Insurance target for the premise of Rp 1.9 trillion to the end of 2012. The amount is up about 72% compared to last year.

"Until the end of 2011, we obtained a premium of Rp 1.1 trillion," said A Junaedy Ganie, Director of BNI Life.Rabu (11/4). Just a reminder, last year, the acquisition of life indeed BNI premium had declined from Rp 1.3 trillion in 2010

Junaedy said, in the year, it would raise the premiums from bancassurance to 51% of total premiums in 2012. Moreover, the acquisition premium to be gained from other business lines, such as agency (agency), group insurance or employee benefits, as well as units of Islamic business. (source)

INDONESIA - TAKAFUL - AXA Mandiri reports 76% surge in net profits

www.thejakartapost.com - Insurance company PT AXA Mandiri Financial Services reported a robust 76 percent growth in net profits to hit Rp 846 billion (US$92 million) last year, thanks to a large increase in premium sales from its unit-linked products and the strength of its “bancassurance” model.

The company’s total premiums in 2011 grew 72 percent from 2010 to reach Rp 4.85 trillion.

At the same time, its weighted new business premiums surged 56 percent to Rp 2.98 trillion, up from Rp 1.91 trillion. (source)

INDONESIA - TAKAFUL - Great Eastern Takaful eyes top 3 spot in Indonesia

thesundaily.com.my - KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 28, 2011): Great Eastern Takaful Sdn Bhd (GE Takaful) has unveiled a plan to become one of Indonesia's top three takaful players in three to five years, by introducing affordable takaful plans and leveraging on its bancatakaful distribution partnership with Bank OCBC NISP there.
Its CEO Mohamad Salihuddin Ahmad said the company will venture into the republic next year, initially in Java and Sumatera. It will then enter other areas such as Kalimantan and Sulawesi.  (source)

INDONESIA - TAKAFUL - AIA Financial, CIMB Niaga offer sharia product

JAKARTA: PT AIA Financial in cooperation with PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk. launched on Wednesday sharia-based life insurance product Fortuna X-tra Plus Syariah, claiming the product offers maximum protection with optimum investment results for Indonesian customers.

INDONESIA - BANKING - Bank Muamalat Boosts Fee-Based Income
