800 billion ($85 million) from the sale of subordinated Islamic debt
this week.
The bank, which is partly controlled by the Islamic
Development Bank, is offering the 10-year Islamic notes to investors
today and plans to list the debt on the Indonesia Stock Exchange next
Monday.
The offering will be the first as part of Bank
Muamalat’s long-term plan to raise Rp 1.5 trillion within two years, the
lender said in a brief prospectus published in Investor Daily on
Monday.
Indonesia is the world’s largest Muslim population country, with Muslims comprising 85 percent of its 240 million population. (source)

The idA(sy) rating is given by PT Pefindo - Credit Rating Indonesia for this Mudharaba-based subdebt, meanwhile Bank Muamalat was rated idA+ as the issuer. www.thejakartabglobe.com - A year long drought in the sales of corporate sukuk in Indonesia is ending as falling yields spur offers by Bank Muamalat Indonesia and Mayora Indah.
Bank Muamalat, the nation’s second-largest Islamic lender, will offer as much as Rp 800 billion ($87.2 million) of Shariah-compliant notes in June, finance director Hendiarto said on April 4.
Mayora Indah, a biscuit maker, will sell Rp 250 billion of debt in May, a company statement said on Monday. The average yield on Indonesian corporate dollar-denominated debt has fallen 34 basis points to 4.87 percent since Jan. 17, the day before Moody’s Investors Service gave the country an investment-grade rating. INDONESIA - FINANCE - Sierad Secured Rp100 Billion from Muamalat
Theindonesiatoday.com - Islamic bank PT Bank Muamalat Tbk has provided Rp100 billion loan to PT Sierad Produce (SIPD) Tbk to finance expansion of animal husbandry business.
Elies Lestari Setiawan, corporate secretary of Sierad Produce, said in a disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Monday that the loan agreement has been signed on December 2nd, 2011. The facility has maturity in 60 months since withdrawal.

INDONESIA - CAPITAL MARKETS - Garuda Enters Syariah List, Bakrie Telecom Kicked Out
Theindonesiatoday.com - Shares of flag carrier PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk (GIAA) enters into syariah stocks list per November 2011, while Bakrie Telecom was kicked out from the list.
Etty Retno Wulandari, Bureau Head for accountancy and transparancy at Bapepam-LK, said 24 new stocks enter the list while 10 stocks were kicked out from the list.
She said Garuda, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS), PT Bayan Resources Tbk (BYAN) and PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (INDF) are included into the list as their debt to equity ratio have improved. "Garuda's equity increased after IPO, helping dragged down its debt to equity ratio," Etty said.
Among 10 stocks kicked out due to their debts are bigger than equities are Bakrie Telecom, PT Alfa Retailindo Tbk (ALFA), PT Colorpak Indonesia Tbk (CLPI), PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JPFA) and PT Multistrada Arah Sarana Tbk (MASA). (source)

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) officially launched the Indonesia Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) here on Thursday as a reference for investors in sharia shares.
