www.bi.go.id - Moody’s Investors Service has today (January 17, 2010) upgraded Republic of Indonesia’s foreign and local-currency bond ratings to Ba1 with stable outlook. This follows Moody’s release last December which placed the ratings on a review for possible upgrade.
In the press release today, Moody's stated the key factors supporting this action were (1) economic resilience is accompanied by sustained macroeconomic balance; (2) Improved government’s debt position and central bank’s foreign currency reserve adequacy; and (3) Improved prospects for foreign direct investment inflows which expected to fortify Indonesia’s external position and economic outlook. INDONESIA - RATINGS - Fitch Assigns Positive Outlook to Indonesia’s BB+ Ratings (Feb 2011)
www.bi.go.id - Fitch Ratings has today (February 24, 2011) affirmed Indonesia’s long-term foreign and local currency issuer default ratings (IDRs) at ‘BB+’ and revised the outlooks on both to Positive from Stable.
The Governor of Bank Indonesia, Darmin Nasution said that the establishment of a positive outlook on the Republic’s sovereign credit rating in the midst of inflationary pressure risks and current economic challenges, reflects international confidence in the credibility of economic authority in managing the economy of Indonesia. Indonesia is only one step away toward the investment grade category. Indonesia has been proven to remain strong during the difficult times and supported by sound macroeconomic fundamentals as well as increasing level of investment to support further growth so that Indonesia will be able to catch up the gap to immediately enter the investment grade sovereign rating category. INDONESIA - RATINGS - R&I Affirm Indonesia Sovereign Rating (Nov 2011)
www.bi.go.id - On 14 November 2011, Rating and Investment Information, Inc. (R&I) affirms Indonesia's sovereign credit rating, at the BB+ level for foreign currency sovereign ratings, with positive outlook.
R&I stated that rationale behind the affirmation is Indonesian economy has become more resilient to deterioration in the external environment. Kazuki Hara and Atsushi Moriya, R&I leading sovereign analysts for Indonesia, mention that if R&I ascertain that Indonesia will be able to maintain the stability of the macro economy, which R&I positively evaluates, even in the face of the global economic and financial instability, the rating could be upgraded. CAPITAL MARKETS - Indonesia Sukuk Yields Drop From 2-Month High: Islamic Finance
Dec. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Prospects Indonesia will get a credit-rating upgrade from Moody’s Investors Services are pulling down yields on government Islamic notes from a two-month high and improving the outlook for a second global sukuk.
The yield on the Southeast Asian nation’s five-year sukuk has dropped to 2.85 percent from 3.14 percent on Nov. 16, according to prices from the Royal Bank of Scotland Group, as Moody’s said this week it may raise Indonesia’s Ba2 rating on growth and improving debt levels. The government sold the notes in April last year at a yield of 8.8 percent.

RATING - Bank Nagari (Sukuk Mudharabah)
PEFINDO assigned “idA” rating to PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Sumatera Barat or Bank Nagari (BPSB or the Bank) as well as its proposed Bond VI/2010 of IDR500 billion. At the same time, PEFINDO also assigned “idA-” rating to BPSB’s proposed Subordinated Debt I/2010 of IDR 100 billion and “idA(sy)” rating to the Bank’s proposed Sukuk Mudharabah I/2010 of IDR100 billion. Outlook for the ratings is “stable”.

RATING - Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk.
PEFINDO affirmed the ratings of PT Bank Danamon Indonesia, Tbk. (the Bank or BDMN) and its bond I/2007 at “idAA+”. At the same time, PEFINDO assigned “idAA+” rating to the Company’s proposed Bond II/2010 of up to IDR3.0 trillion. Outlook for these ratings is “stable”. The ratings reflect its very strong market position, very sound capitalization, favorable profitability, and strong support from the Bank’s majority shareholder. However, the ratings are constrained by lower liquidity.

CAPITAL MARKETS - SUKUK - RATING - Pefindo downgrades Arpeni Pratama bond's rating
JAKARTA: Indonesian Credit Rating Agency (Pefindo) downgraded the rating of PT Arpeni Pratama Ocean Line Tbk's bond II/2008 to ‘D’ from previously ‘CCC’.
Pefindo's Analysts Ronald Hertanto and Vonny Widjaja informed that the rating downgrade was affected by the shipping company's failure to pay the coupon of bond II/2008 as much as IDR14.5 billion on September 18 2010.

JAKARTA : Indonesia stellar rating agency PT Pemeringkat Efek Indonesia (Pefindo) upgrades the prospect rating of PT Indosat Tbk’s bonds and sharia bonds (sukuk) from negative to stable.
In a research today, analysts Niken Indriarsih and Vonny Widjaja at Pefindo said that the upgrade was triggered by growing customers, earnings from cellular phone service and more stable financial leverage.

BANKING - RATINGS - Bank International Indonesia BII
HONG KONG (Standard & Poor's) Sept. 15, 2010--Standard & Poor's Ratings Services said today that it had affirmed the 'BB' long-term and 'B' short-term counterparty ratings on PT Bank Internasional Indonesia Tbk. (BII). The outlook on the long-term rating was stable. The rating was then withdrawn at the bank's request. At the same time, we withdrew the 'B+' issue rating on BII's US$150 million subordinated debt due 2015 after its full redemption earlier this year.
