INDONESIA - AWARDS - INVESTOR magazinegive Institutions & Products Awards Best Syariah 2012

www.investor.co.id - JAKARTA-Investor magazine again awarded best Islamic or Sharia Best Awards 2012 for best Islamic financial institution 10, 11 Islamic financial products and the best three Islamic leaders.
 
At the awarding ceremony of Sharia Investor Award 2012 in the Ballroom, Hotel Aryaduta, Jakarta, Wednesday (8/8), PT Bank Syariah Mandiri (BSM) was crowned the best Islamic bank in 2012. Business unit of sharia (UUS) banking, Bank DKI tops in the category of UUS beraset above Rp 500 billion. For best UUS beraset below Rp 500 billion, won UUS SulSelBar Bank.
 
Awards are also given for the best life insurance and general insurance islamic sharia best. Sinarmas MSIG Insurance branches of Sharia and Islamic branches Avrist Assurance business unit won an award as the best Islamic insurance. While the Sinar Mas branch of Islamic Insurance and Islamic Insurance as general manager of Mega branches of general insurance business units best branch of sharia. INDONESIA - CAPITAL MARKETS - Indonesia Company Sukuk Shortage Curbs Returns: Islamic Finance

www.thejakartaglobe.com - Indonesia’s three best-performing Islamic bond funds say a rebound in corporate sukuk sales is failing to keep up with demand from investors chasing higher returns as government yields decline.   

Insight Investments Management’s top-ranked I-Hajj Syariah Fund wants to boost company holdings from 80 percent if more securities become available, President Director Tony Henri said in an interview in Jakarta last week. Akbar Syarief, fund manager at MNC Asset Management, overseeing the second-best performer, said his confidence in finding buyers is not matched by certainty there will be sufficient supply.   

“Right now the concern is that when money comes in, there may not be securities to invest in,” Jakarta-based Syarief, whose MNC Dana Syariah vehicle returned 3.8 percent this year, said in a June 26 interview. “Corporate sukuk will always be in high demand.”    (source)

www.pefindo.com -PEFINDO affirmed its idAA+” ratings of PT Pegadaian (Persero) (PPGD or the Company) and the Company’s outstanding Bonds X, XI, XII and XIII, Shelf Registration Bond I/2011 Phase I and Phase II/2012, as well as MTN II/2011.  PEFINDO also affirmed itsidAA+(sy)” rating for the Company’s MTN Ijarah I/2011. Outlook for the corporate rating is “stable”.  The ratings reflect strong support from the Government of Indonesia (GOI), the Company’s superior position in pawn service business, as well as very strong asset quality and favorable profitability indicators. INDONESIA - BANKING - ISLAMIC BANK BUKOPIN upsizes amount Islamic bond

www.bisnis.com - JAKARTA: PT Bank Syariah Bukopin add to holdings of securities to absorb Islamic sukuk issued by PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk and PT Indosat Tbk.

Riyanto, Managing Director of Bank Syariah Bukopin (BSB), said the company is actually targeting the placement of funds of up to Rp100 billion in the two emissions.

However, it turns out the company only managed to put half of the target investment due to high competition with other investors.

"Because oversubscribed [excess demand] we miss just a little. Target of 100 billion we just be around Rp40 billion to Rp50 billion, "he said today Thursday (28/6). (source)

INDONESIA - CAPITAL MARKETS - Bank Muamalat Gets Ball Rolling On Fund-Raising With Bond Sale

www.thejakartaglobe.com - Bank Muamalat, an Islamic lender in Indonesia, is planning to raise Rp 800 billion ($85 million) from the sale of subordinated Islamic debt this week.

The bank, which is partly controlled by the Islamic Development Bank, is offering the 10-year Islamic notes to investors today and plans to list the debt on the Indonesia Stock Exchange next Monday.

The offering will be the first as part of Bank Muamalat’s long-term plan to raise Rp 1.5 trillion within two years, the lender said in a brief prospectus published in Investor Daily on Monday.

Indonesia is the world’s largest Muslim population country, with Muslims comprising 85 percent of its 240 million population.  (source)

INDONESIA - RATNGS - Fitch rates Bank Mualat A (idn)

www.investor.co.id - JAKARTA - Rating agency Fitch Ratings assign ratings (rating) Long-term Indonesia Tbk, PT Bank Muamalat at level A (idn) with a stable outlook, as well as subordinate debt rating at BBB level (idn).
Fitch assessed, the possibility is supported by the State Bank Muamalat is very small, because the bank already has a symbolic role in the development of Islamic banking in Indonesia. On the other hand, Fitch recognizes Muamalat assets is still relatively small compared to the domestic banking sector.
Until late last year, Bank Muamalat has 25 percent share of the total assets of Islamic banking. However, when compared to the total domestic industry (including conventional bank assets), only 1.1 percent. (source)

INDONESIA - CAPITAL MARKETS - Bank Muamalat Upsizes Sukuk Subdebt to Rp800 Billion

www.theindonesiatoday.com - JAKARTA, Indonesia Today - Indonesia's largest shariah PT Bank Muamalat Tbk upsizes the issuance of its syariah (sukuk) subordinated mudharabah to Rp500 billion from initial plan Rp500 billion, first phase of Rp1.5 trillion syariah subdebt program.

The syariah subdebt will have tenor of 10 years. The Indonesian rating agency Pefindo has rated idA (sy) for the subdebt.

The offering is scheduled for June 26, 2012 while listing at stock exchange is set for July 2, 2012.
The proceeds of subdebt will be used for strengthening the capital and supporting the bank's syariah financing. (source)

INDONESIA - CAPITAL MARKETS - Indosat issues Rp 3 trillion bonds and Rp 300 billion Sukuk Ijara

www.bisnis.com - JAKARTA - PT Indosat Tbk, the issuer of telecommunications service providers, increase the value of total debt from Rp2, 5 trillion to Rp3 trillion, following a number of bond orders in the process of book building some time ago.
As announced on its website, ordering bonds surpassed Rp3, 7 trillion. This amount is claimed to be the biggest book publishing is done by Indosat.
That way, VIII Indosat Bonds initially rose only Rp2 trillion to Rp2, 7 trillion. INDONESIA - CAPITAL MARKETS - Adhi Karya issues Rp 750b bonds

www.thejakartapost.com - JAKARTA: Publicly listed construction company PT Adhi Karya is seeking Rp 750 billion (US$80 million) from issuing conventional and Islamic bonds with high coupon rates ranging between 9 and 10.5 percent.

The company is offering Rp 625 billion in conventional bonds, which are divided into two series. The A series, which will account for Rp 375 billion and will mature in five years, will be offered with 9 to 10 percent coupon rates, corporate secretary Kurnadi Gularso said after the company’s public expose on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the B series, which will total Rp 250 billion with a maturity period of seven years, will be offered with 9.5 to 10.5 percent coupon rates.  (source)

www.bisnis.com - JAKARTA: State-owned construction company PT Adhi Karya Tbk offer coupon bonds and sukuk in the range of 9% - 10.5%.

Director of PT Danareksa Sekuritas Sincere Nababan said the company plans to issue bonds amounting to Rp1 sustainable, 5 trillion. For the first phase of bonds to be issued sebesars Rp750 billion consisting of conventional bonds and sukuk amounting to Rp625 billion worth of 125 stage I mudharabah billion.

The bonds consist of two series of the series A total of Rp375 billion five-year tenure with the indication of a coupon of 9% -10%, and series B as much as 250 billion 7-year tenure with the indicated coupon of 9.5% -10.5%.  (source)

INDONESIA - CAPITAL MARKETS - Bank Muamalat gears up for Islamic debt issue in third week of June

futures.tradingcharts.com - Indonesia-based Islamic Sharia-compliant lender PT Bank Muamalat is set to place an IDR800bn (USD84.7m/EUR67.5m) sukuk in the third week of June, The Jakarta Post reported on Tuesday. The deal falls within the bank's strategy to beef up its financial resources with IDR1.5trn capital. Bank Muamalat aims to reach the target by raising the remaining IDR700bn by the first half of next year, the paper said. (source)

INDONESIA - CAPITAL MARKETS - Bank Muamalat Readies for Rp 1.5t Islamic Bond Sale

www.thejakartaglobe.com -Bank Muamalat, the country’s top Islamic bank, plans to sell Islamic bonds worth Rp 1.5 trillion ($159 million) over the next two years to boost lending.

The Jakarta-based lender aims to sell Rp 500 billion in July this year, it said in a brief prospectus published in Bisnis Indonesia newspaper on Wednesday.

It will offer the notes to investors on June 25-26, with a planned listing on the Indonesia Stock Exchange on July 2. It will sell the final Rp 1 trillion next year.  (source)
