INDONESIA - BANKING - BNI Syariah Distributes Franchise Financing Rp 45 Billion

But financing a franchise is quite popular in BNI Syariah. Most customers ask for financing a franchise with a ceiling of USD 300-500 million. When including its assets, a customer can apply for financing of $ 1 billion, said Strong. FINANCE - BNI Syariah facilitates financing for 14 franchise chains

Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) signed a cooperation for Sharia financing with 14 franchise companies. Until the end of the year, 100 franchises there are expected to get financing facilities for a total of up to Rp 50 billion. Iwa Kustiwa, General Manager Divisi Kartu Pembiyaan BNI Syariah, said that currently there are 54 franchises that are already funded by BNI Syariah. A number of new franchise such as Mie Jawara, Squad Catur, Gudeg Jogya Ibu Sri, Donat Kentang, and Yayasan Edukasi Anak Indonesia  have signed a memorandum of understanding.(source)

FINANCE - Islamic Banks Expands to Franchise Financing

JAKARTA (IFT) – Several Islamic banks have begun to expand to franchise financing in 2011 due to the high growth in the franchise business. So far, only 10 percent of total financing from Islamic banks are disbursed to the franchise segment.(source)
