BANKING - UK’s Gatehouse Bank Strengthens Ties with Indonesia

Gatehouse Bank plc, a fully Shari'ah-compliant investment bank in London has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with PT Bank Syariah Mandiri and PT Bank Negara Indonesia to strengthen ties with both parties and agree upon Islamic banking initiatives that will benefit each other through closer working cooperation. The Polemics of Governing Law in Islamic Finance: Recent Developments and the Way Forward

The 2nd annual thematic workshop organised by the Institute of Islamic Banking and Insurance (IIBI) and the International Shari’ah Research Academy for Islamic Finance (ISRA) in collaboration with Thomson Reuters on 29th November, 2010 was a huge success with more than 120 delegates managing to attend despite adverse weather and a tube strike on the day.
