INDONESIA - CAPITAL MARKETS - Indonesia to Sell More Bonds Next Year to Plug Deficit
www.thejakartaglobe.com - Indonesia, which has been running a budget deficit since the Asian
monetary crisis more than a decade ago, plans to sell 11 percent more
bonds next year to finance its budget shortfall.
The government plans to raise total net bond sales to Rp 177.3 trillion ($19 billion) next year compared with Rp 159.6 trillion this year, with the country aiming to sell more notes even as the budget deficit is projected to narrow next year.
“The government will sell rupiah bonds and dollar-denominated bonds next year,” the government said in a budget statement.
The document also showed that the government would sell regular and retail bonds in the domestic market. (source)

INDONESIA - CAPITAL MARKETS - Small issuance, new regulations
www.ibpa.co.id - JAKARTA. Aka Islamic sukuk issuance in 2012 also continued to grow. Citing data from the Capital Market and Financial Institutions Supervisory Agency (Bapepam LK), sukuk issued until late July, a total of 52 products, with a value of Rp 9.39 trillion emissions.

INDONESIA - CAPITAL MARKETS - State Government Selling Rp540 Billion Sukuk
www.investor.co.id - JAKARTA - The government sold the state sukuk amounting to Rp540 billion to meet part of the 2012 state budget targets. The amount is greater than the indicative target of Rp500 billion in the previous set.

INDONESIA - CAPITAL MARKETS - Indonesia sells 540 bln rph sukuk in auction
www.reuters.com - Indonesia sold 540 billion rupiah
($57.05 million) of sukuk in an auction on Tuesday, above a
target of 500 billion rupiah, with yields rising slightly from
the previous auction, the finance ministry said.
The country raised 500 billion rupiah from sales of 25-year project-based sukuk and 40 billion rupiah from six-year sukuk. There were no winning bids for six-month sharia T-bill and 10 and 15-year project based sukuk.
The weighted average yield on the 25-year sukuk was 6.71616 percent, versus 6.69002 percent in an auction last month. (source)

INDONESIA - BANKING - Bank Mandiri Push BSM & BSHB Go Public
www.bisnis.com - JAKARTA: PT Bank Mandiri Tbk preparing to take off some shares in the subsidiary through an initial public offering as a consequence of regulatory restrictions on bank ownership.
Bank Mandiri president director Zulkifli Zaini said the actual regulatory restrictions on bank ownership of common stock in the corporation is not an issue because the government as largest shareholder is exempt from the rules.
However, he added, these rules affect the ownership of shares in Bank Mandiri Bank Syariah Mandiri (BSM) and Bank of Hope Sinar Bali (BSHB). (source)

relatively high for a bid for the State Sharia Securities (SBSN) or

of Indonesia's economic growth by 6.4% in the second quarter of 2012,

Fakhrul Aufa, an analyst at PT Independent Assessment Rates Securities Indonesia Bond Pricing Agency, said the release of data growth in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the second quarter could be a positive sentiment for domestic investors. The growth is higher than the realization of the first quarter by 6.3%.
The increase in economic growth is somewhat special in the middle of a global economic slowdown. The sentiment is expected to reduce the negative sentiment of market participants to the disappointment of the Central Bank of the United States policy or the Federal Reserve (the Fed) and the European Central Bank or the European Central Bank (ECB) which are not disbursed stimulus. Limited, a company controlled by Indonesian family of Ciliandra
Fangiono, has issued RM600 million of Islamic medium term notes (IMTN).
The IMTN issued Tuesday, July 31, 2012 is part of the RM2 billion Ringgit-denominated Islamic medium term note program of First Resources.
The IMTNs have a tenor of five (5) years and will mature on 31 July 2017. The IMTNs were successfully priced on a “book build” basis and will bear a periodic distribution rate of 4.45% per annum, payable semi-annually in arrears. (source)

INDONESIA - CAPITAL MARKETS - Absorb emerintah Only Auction Rp 460 billion of Sukuk State

government only won investor demand of Rp 460 billion from the total
amount of the bids amounting to Rp 1.9 trillion and won only one series
of government.
One series was won by the government PBS004 tenor of 25 years with an average of 6.69%. Bond analysts said the government was still reluctant to meet the demand for yield (yied) higher than the investor.
Herbie Mohede, Bond Analyst PT Samuel Asset Management said this was evidence the government still has a strong bargaining position. "It's one of the evidence the government had a strong enough position not meet investor demand. The government wants a stable secondary market for sukuk, "said Herbie. (full story)
