INDONESIA - BANKING - BI Optimistic Sharia Banking Assets Grow 70 Percent in 2012

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia is optimistic national Islamic banking assets will grow by 70 percent in 2012. The indicators, it is still a lot of banks are opening Islamic services. From recent data, the Islamic banking assets in October 2011 amounting to Rp 127 trillion.

INDONESIA - BANKING - Build Muamalat Consumer Center Next Year

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA --- Muamalat to build next year's consumer-focused center serving the needs of consumers. Consumer center is targeted to increase consumer financing.

"Muamalat Consumer Center focus serving the needs of consumers such as residential sharia financing, cooperatives, and multi-finance," said Director of Retail Bank Muamalat, Adrian A Gunadi, Thursday (15/12). He said consumer financing grew 55 percent as of November 2011 with a value of Rp 7.3 trillion.
