Bank Syariah Mandiri, received a 2010 Banking Efficiency Award from a reputable business newspaper, Bisnis Indonesia. The award is presented to BSM and other 6 banks at award ceremony in Jakarta, October 6, 2010. Research for this award has been conducted by Bisnis Indonesia Intelligence Unit headed by Rofikoh Rohim.
BSM is awarded for its efficiency in operating, technical, management, and business that have been applied in BSM for year 2009. Besides BSM, there are 6 banks that received the awards. They are Bank Panin, Bank UOB Indonesia, Bank of China, Deutsche Bank, Standard and Chartered, Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi AG.
Rofikoh said that all these 6 banks have got excellence point for efficiency. These 6 banks, include BSM, became the winners by defeated 114 other banks. (Jurnal Nasional, October 7,2010)
