BANKING - BII secures IDR689 billion net income

JAKARTA: PT Bank International Indonesia (BII) Tbk recorded additional net income of IDR689 billion in QI/2010 driven by increase in revenue after provision. 

On their company\'s disclosure, the company informed their net income jumped from minus IDR363 billion recorded in September 2009 to IDR326 billion in September 2010. 

The increase was primarily driven by higher operating income from minus IDR394 trillion to IDR499 billion. 

Until Q3/2010, BII booked a higher asset by 24% from IDR54.55 trillion per September 2009 to IDR67.64 trillion.

The company also recorded an increase in consumer deposit by 23% from IDR42.39 trillion in September 2009 to IDR52.21 trillion in September 2010.

The increase was principally driven by growth in term deposit as much as 31% from IDR23.54 trillion to IDR30.75 trillion. Saving accounts surged 14% from IDR10.84 trillion to IDR12.40 trillion. Demand deposits jumped 13% from IDR8 trillion to IDR9.05 trillion.

Total loans disbursed in Q3/2010 reached IDR47.28 trillion, a rise by 33% from IDR35.43 trillion last year. (T05/NOM)
