INDONESIA - CAPITAL MARKETS - Indonesia Proceeds With Global Sukuk Plans: Emerging Bond Alert

INDONESIA is proceeding with plans to sell global sukuk and is waiting for the right timing, Bhimantara Widyajala, a director at the Finance Ministry’s debt management office, said in a press briefing in Jakarta on Sept. 28. The government hired HSBC Holdings Plc, Citigroup Inc. and Standard Chartered Plc to help it with a sale of as much as $1 billion of Islamic bonds, a person familiar with the matter who asked not to be identified as details are private said in August.(source)

INDONESIA - CAPITAL MARKETS - Govt to offer retail bonds in October

The government says it will offer retail bonds (ORI) in the 008 series from Oct. 7 to 21, to secure funds to help finance the 2011 budget.
“Retail state bonds, including sukuk retail bonds, are contributing more to the financing of the state budget,” Finance Ministry director for state securities Bimantara Widyajala said Wednesday in Jakarta after signing a partnership agreement with 25 agents trading ORI bonds in 2011. (source)

SUKUK - Indonesia to sell 2 trln rph sukuk to Haj Fund

JAKARTA, Sept 2 - Indonesia plans to sell 2 trillion rupiah of sukuk to the state-managed Islamic Haj Fund through a private placement in September, the government's debt office said on Thursday.
