INDONESIA - BANKING - KUR - KUR BSM customers amounted to 10 700


Jakarta (25 / 8). Even though only one Islamic bank designated by the government in channeling people's business credit (KUR), teryata customers KUR Bank Syariah Mandiri (BSM) is not far behind with other banks, where the current number of clients has reached 10,700 clients with financing average average Rp 50 million.

As for the focus of KUR financing, as long as this is the largest financing the agricultural sector, services and trade. (source)

INDONESIA - KUR - FINANCE - First Lady Criticizes State Banks Over Failure to Provide Micro Loans

Jakarta:Indonesia's First Lady Kristiani Herawati Yudhoyono on Wednesday criticized state banks over its credit distribution policies, particularly in regard to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). According to the First Lady, craftsmen and other small businessmen continued to complain about how difficult it remained to obtain microfinancing or micro loans from state banks. (source)

BANKING - CIMB Niaga can become larger than Mandiri by 2016 - BRI might surpass Mandiri this year

JAKARTA (IFT) - According to the IFT Research Department, in the next five years, state-owned banks may face tough competition from private banks, whose majority stakes are controlled by foreign investors.


Assets growth in PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (BNGA) and PT Bank Pan Indonesia Tbk (PNBN) in 2016 will surpass PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) and PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA). FINANCE - 2011 Micro Credit Target at Rp20 Trillion

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:The government is targeting the disbursement of Micro Credit Support (KUR) in 2011 to total Rp 18-20 trillion, up from Rp16.4 trillion in 2010.

“We are stepping on the gas. Each year the amount is increasing,” State-owned Enterprises Minister Mustafa Abubakar said in Jakarta last weekend.
